list of All Time Great Movies

What according to you constitutes a great movie? One that is stuffed with high tension action, or one that can scare you out of your skin. Well, it depends on how the viewer watches the movie and what he takes away from it. If you ask me, one of the most important ingredients which makes a movie stand out as a great one is an underlying motive or a message. Not all movies manage to include this little but important stuff in their making. A lovely example of what I am trying to bring out here is the Oscar-honored 'Ratatouille'. What do you think this animated movie tried to reflect through its story line, characters and dialogues. To me, it stated that anyone in this world has the ability to cook. For some this quality is noticeable, while hidden for others. All it needs is a bit of polishing. For me, movies such as this truly deserves to be placed in the list of all time great movies, which is as follows:
